Advised oil change intervals are at 7,500 km if not mistaken (not 3,000). Fully synthetic can work well up to 15,000 km not sure your paper oil filter can. I see absolutely no benefit of the coffee filter excersize but as said it is your bike, your rules. Your catch line, imho, is simply wrong.

I think the 15k service intervals, for environment . reasons . They use synthetic oil so can normally take more k's. but like was said some don't ride a lot of miles or Kilometres , so in that case every 12 months. if you do the miles quick , like say 30k per year 15k between service ok. I think it looks good with a MX front fender like the 790 Adventure R but with the low fender here or on the base 790 Adventure it looks weird. You’re not alone. KTM was in the running for my first bike, but aside from the fact that it was way too tall, I also find them hideous. On paper the KTM 790 Adventure looks like my ideal next bike.

The KTM shop that does my servicing uses motorex or motul, just not V300 in twins. Ive used motul in my Multistrada since new (82,000kms now) never needed any valve adjustment 5100 15w50 i use 8100 in my 1290GT 10w60 40,000kms, so far I've only put motorex in the 790 at 4000km intervals, and thats with track days thrown in, i think its an ok oil.
Trip 1 and 2 reset no reason. I noticed that for 3 times already in 800km with this motorcycle the counter 1 and 2 resets for no reason, its all ok when I shut it down, but on the day after when turning on the motorcycle "pum, zero". i trust the 15k km/9k miles intervals of my 790 - i am at 6700km right now with mine - did a oil+filter change at 6400km (rode it through winter and had it stand in -°C during the day and then ride it home etc.,) chain didnt need adjustment yet - so yeah i trust it, i even think the 7500km/4600miles intervals of the 390 were too short. 2.

I've logged about 4300km (apx. 2671miles) since the first oil change & service on my 890 R. I've topped up the oil twice, for a total 8oz. I don't think that's excessive.
